Abstract – According to the Environmental protection agency, the transportation sector shares about 27% of the greenhouse gases emissions due to conventional vehicles, which calls for a greener alternative to electric vehicles. Still, the requirement for their recharging can result in a limited range and increase charging costs. This paper aims to harvest electricity during the movement of the electric vehicle by integrating the triboelectric effect and electrostatic induction using copper, PTFE, and aluminum to create triboelectric nanogenerators (TENG) applied to 3D-printed wheels, which harvested 11 V at 2.5 m/s. Thus, this system is expected to decrease the cost of one Kilometer to 0.02 USD instead of 0.03 USD.
