Abstract – Over the past three years, the global COVID-19 pandemic has affected millions of individuals worldwide. However, despite many advances in vaccines, cancer patients are individuals who remain vulnerable to this day. This systematic review delves into the unique challenges faced by cancer patients who contract COVID-19, exploring the severity of their condition and outcomes in comparison to those with normal pre-existing conditions. Nearly all studies illustrated that cancer patients have higher hospitalization and mortality rates when they have contracted SARS-CoV-2, exemplifying the virus’s particular severity in cancer patients.
