Abstract – Exosomes are nanoparticles that have drawn scientific interest for their potential as biomarkers and drug delivery agents throughout the body. However, it is challenging to gather exosomes from biological fluid in a scalable and reproducible manner that enables real-world application. This experiment aims to determine the effect of hollow fiber filter molecular weight cutoffs during ultrafiltration on a process designed to extract exosomes from bovine milk. The MWCOs used include 300 kD, 500 kD, 750 kD, and 50 nm. 750 kD was proven to be most effective for exosome isolation, displaying the highest purity and yield while maintaining shorter processing times.
