Abstract – This study investigates the enhancement of latent fingerprints on fired cartridge cases using acidified hydrogen peroxide (AHP) technique. The prevalence of fired cartridge cases at crime scenes has necessitated the development of effective fingerprint recovery methods. AHP shows promise in visualizing latent fingerprints on various metal surfaces. The research aims to optimize the AHP technique for fired cartridge cases to improve its forensic applicability and aid in the identification of perpetrators in firearm-related crimes.
